Professor Maitland-van der Zee is a Professor of Personalized Medicine and Head of Department of Genetics at University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) who is renowned for her pioneering work in personalized medicine, aiming to revolutionize clinical practice with cutting-edge research. Her holistic approach integrates biomarkers (genome, transcriptome, breathome, microbiome), environmental factors, and data science to optimize patient care.
